Information We Collect

When you fill out a contact form on our website, we may collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, message content, services you are interested in (e.g., Kids Jiu-Jitsu, Adult Jiu-Jitsu, Fitness, Self-Defense), and how you heard about us. This information is submitted voluntarily. We do not require you to create an account or register to browse our website.

If you accept cookies through our cookie consent banner, we may collect information automatically via Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, including pages visited, time spent on each page, browser type, device type, approximate geographic location, referring website, and session duration. If you decline cookies, no analytics data is collected.

Our hosting provider (Vercel) may collect server logs that include your IP address, request timestamps, and user agent string as part of standard web server operations.

Our contact forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, a CAPTCHA service, to prevent spam. Turnstile may process device and browser characteristics to verify you are human. It does not track you across websites.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to respond to inquiries submitted through our contact forms, analyze website traffic and usage patterns (with your consent), prevent spam and fraudulent submissions, maintain website security and performance, and communicate with you about classes, programs, and services you have expressed interest in.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser. We store your cookie consent choice in your browser's local storage. This is not a cookie but a local storage entry that persists until you clear your browser data.

If you accept cookies through our banner, Google Tag Manager is loaded and may set analytics cookies including _ga (distinguishes unique visitors, 2 years), _ga_* (maintains session state, 2 years), and _gid (distinguishes unique visitors, 24 hours). These cookies are only set if you click "Accept." If you decline, Google Tag Manager is never loaded and no analytics cookies are set.

Our contact page includes an embedded Google Maps iframe. Google may set its own cookies when you interact with the map, governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

How We Store and Protect Your Data

Contact form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS and stored securely via Google Apps Script. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent unauthorized and automated form submissions. Our website is served entirely over HTTPS, encrypting all data in transit. We limit access to personal information to authorized personnel only.

Your Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

Right to Know — You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.

Right to Delete — You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.

Right to Opt Out of Sale — We do not sell your personal information. No opt-out is necessary.

Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

Contact form data is retained in our systems until manually deleted. Analytics data (if consent was granted) is retained according to Google's default retention policies. Cookie consent preferences are stored in your browser's local storage indefinitely until you clear your browser data.

Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our Kids Jiu-Jitsu programs are managed by parents or guardians, who provide any necessary information on behalf of their children.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through our website, please contact us at info@delmarjiujitsuclub.com and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
